CASE STUDY 1 - Personal Injury Claimant

We were instructed by a leading Motor Insurer to carry out surveillance on a claimant who was allegedly unable to work due to a back injury and was in receipt of a vehicle through the 'motobility scheme.' The claimant was observed on two consecutive days, walking around the immediate vicinity, looking for any persons/vehicles potentially observing him. Satisfied that there were none, he then drove away and collected a furniture removal van ! Our use of specially adapted vehicles, rather than traditional surveillance vans ensured that he was not alerted to our presence. We were able to film him over the two days, actively operating as a furniture removal worker, lifting all manner of heavy furniture from address to address. When the footage was disclosed to the claimant's solicitors, they immediately withdrew the claim and are now being pursued by our clients for monies paid in salary; legal and our fees, together with the recovery of the vehicle provided.

CASE STUDY 2 - Dishonest absenteeism

A London-based transport company became suspicious regarding an employee who repeatedly took sick leave with a supposed back injury, which allegedly prevented him driving. We were tasked to carry out surveillance and filmed him over two consecutive mornings driving his children to school and then engaged at home, operating his own business. He was called into work for an interview and was filmed being picked up by a friend and driven into the workplace. During the interview he exaggerated his back injury to his manager and struggled to get out of a chair in apparent pain. He was followed home, as a passenger in his friend’s vehicle and then later filmed driving his vehicle to collect his children from school. He was dismissed by the company and subsequently appealed. Once presented with the quality of the video evidence against him, the individual immediately withdrew his appeal.

CASE STUDY 3 - Worldwide Trace

We were tasked by solicitors to trace a sole beneficiary of a will, dating back over 30 years and in which a number of other named beneficiaries had died. Utilising a range of databases and through extensive research, we were able to establish his date of birth and a possible address in Australia. With the use of a close associate based in Australia, we successfully located and positively identify the beneficiary. He was overwhelmed to learn of his unexpected inheritance and overjoyed to be reunited with long-lost relatives.
